In the third quarter of 2024, the top maps and navigation apps in Oceania, according to Sensor Tower data, showcased varying trends in downloads and active user engagement.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent weekly download rate, starting at approximately 33K downloads and experiencing a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at about 36K. Its weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at around 1.05M, peaking mid-September at about 1.12M, and then settling at approximately 1.03M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a notable increase in downloads, particularly in early August, where downloads reached nearly 41K. This upward trend was mirrored in its active user base, which remained stable around 600K, with slight fluctuations throughout the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a steady rise in downloads, starting at 20K and reaching a peak of nearly 25K towards the beginning of September. The app also saw an increase in active users, climbing from about 360K at the start of the quarter to nearly 400K by the end.
